A cherished treasure-chest of the Chabad-Lubavitch heritage
By Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, Translated by Uri Kaploun
These talks, delivered in Latvia, Poland and the US from 1929-1950, alive with pungent and creative expositions of chassidic teachings, are spiced with childhood memories, insightful stories, family traditions, recollections of Stalin's dungeons, delicately-drawn vignettes of exalted villagers and humble giants, and nostalgic glimpses of a vanished world.
This is a priceless gem of a set that every CHOSS ID should read on a constant basis. It is literally a Farbrengen with the Frierdiker Rebbe in a book. as R YD Groner told me. If you’re in need of a farbrengen. Pour a lchaim and start reading.
My only complaint, and this is to all book manufacturers is please please print on off or soft white paper donuts easier on the eyes and one can read longer without fatigue. Not everyone has this sensitivity but plenty do and don’t even realize. I believe the Rebbe told printers to do this once or twice.
